To commemorate its 75th anniversary on December 7, Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) embarked on a captivating cultural journey reflecting its rich history and academic achievements. To mark this milestone, the university launched a series of images and works that highlight its storied past.

As part of the celebrations, 75 images were unveiled, showcasing remarkable educational accomplishments of its faculty and students. The images serve as a testament to the university's dedication to academic excellence and international studies.

Additionally, 17 school badges, representing various eras of SISU's evolution, are also on display. These badges not only evoke memories of the past but also symbolize its continuous development and growth throughout the decades.

"History is the best textbook and also the best sobering agent," said Li Yansong, the president of SISU, adding that we hope to inspire our students and faculty to continue building upon our rich legacy and strive for even greater achievements by celebrating our history.

Furthermore, SISU has published two books that delve deeper into its history.

One book features stories and reflections from senior alumni, offering personal experiences on their time at the university. The other provides a comprehensive chronicle of the school's records from 1949 to 1994 with detailed accounts.

Next year, a documentary on Jiang Chunfang, the founding president of SISU, will also be released on mainstream media. It will offer viewers a closer look at the university's origins and the legendary life of its visionary founder.

As SISU continues to celebrate its 75th anniversary, it invites all to join in this journey through its rich history and cultural heritage.
